The National Civil Rights Museum – Memphis Tennessee
For me, Black History should be about celebrating those historical pioneers who overcame despicable obstacles and paved the way for the rights of people of color. Any over-excessive reports solely about the heinous crimes perpetrated against a race of people only renews a racial hatred in a generation who never experienced such a level of hardships. I’m not saying it should be forgotten, but it should be tempered with the positive aspects of our lives today, and mostly in regards to those who made it possible. We will never have a fully unified future until we can come to terms with the past.
